We will be perfecting the Beechwood Connector trail that slopes down the southern end of Hartwood Acres.
On this day we will work with Landforce Pittsburgh to touch-up trail switchbacks to prevent erosion, create gorgoyles to eliminate cut-offs, and bench in the tread-way. Tools will be provided but please bring work gloves, as well as water and snacks to suit your personal needs.
Meet at the Hartwood Acres Mansion Parking Lot at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 14th.
This trail will soon complete a hiking route connecting the Hartwood Acres Mansion to Beechwood Farms and then the Squaw Valley Trail to the Allegheny River.
